Long Time Coming....

We went and met Crystal, Jack and Everett at Adventure Park the other morning for the kids to play. This place has all those tubes to crawl through and slides and stuff so it is a great place to ware the kids out. And YES - She took a nap! But never before has she fallen asleep on the floor. What's so cute to me is that you will notice in the last picture that she is holding onto the tag of the blanket. Ever since she was a baby she has had a thing for tags. She has 4 of these blankets because it was "the one" she had to have as a baby. She holds it and rubs it in between her thumb and index finger. It has a real calming effect on her.

Catching Up.....

I know, it's been so long since I posted. We are fresh and new now and just wanted to catch up with everyone.

The Thing's Our 2 Year Old Says

We went out to eat the other night at Wendy's. Ella looks over at Keith, begins rubbing his arm and says, "You're a good person Daddy, just like me".

Ella and Keith were "treasure hunting" the other day. Ella had her baby, her ball cap and her Dora backpack with her map. They went around the house for a while and then got on the couch to look out the window. They found the tree on the map in our front year.

Ella said, "There's the tree Daddy!"
Keith said, "But I think its too cold to go outside to the tree"
Ella said, "No it's not Daddy. You just have to believe!"

There's Nothing Like A Lazy Day

Minnesota Children's Museum

We had a great time at the Children's Museum a few weeks ago. Ella loved it. Especially the Ant Tunnel Exhibit. It was a maze of tunnels that the kids can crawl through. You almost feel like they are lost because you cant see them for periods of time when they are deep into the tunnels. There was just so much to see. I highly suggest going in the morning when they open though. By 11am it was very busy.

Napping? Who Does That Anymore?

Yup, I have hit that stage where our child no longer naps. Sometimes on the weekends when Keith puts her down she will go to sleep, but it is no longer a luxury for me. I still put her in her room and go through the motions of a nap, but she manages to get up and get into everything in her room for the next 2 hours. This is what Ella comes up with during her "nap time".Yes, that is underwear on her head.

Ah Nature...

We have been seeing alot of deer in our woods lately. They are so peaceful. Ella was so excited and just wanted to watch them forever.
