12 Weeks

How sweet the sound. The magical week that women get to and feel confident enough to announce their good news. Nausea has taken over my life for the last month or so leaving me to want to sleep all the time. I think I have doubled our grocery bill over the last few weeks too. It seems to be the only way to keep me from not vomiting. Weird, I know. By the time this kid comes....I will be nicknamed "Two-ton".....Considering I am already in my maternity clothes that I didn't even start wearing with Ella until 5 months!

This is most of the reason why I have been so sparse blogging lately. The last thing I have felt like doing is looking at the computer screen. So I apologize that my posts and comments have tapered off. I have been keeping up with everyone still. Sometimes making more comments on several posts at once instead of after each time you post them. Mostly I have just been lurking until I feel like sitting on the computer. Along with my camera being at Nikon for repair right now....(*Note to self* Really bad time to send your camera off. How am I supposed to take pictures of decorating the tree?!) I hope when I get it back I will start feeling like myself again.

Besides all that, it is a huge blessing for us and a long journey to get here. Believe me...you don't know how long I have been saving this picture for this post. To me, the simplicity of it epitomized life in the womb.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am sure we all have so much to be thankful for!

BSM - The Wanderer

This is how I have been feeling lately since I had to send my camera off to Nikon to get repaired. My auto focus was off and I could deny it no longer! I would take a great series of shots and then upload them to the computer. Once I saw them on the computer, I was so disappointed how unsharp they were. I held off as long as I could, but figured I had better send it off so I could make sure to have it back by Christmas.

I know I haven't posted much lately...more on that probably next week.....but I will probably be delving into my archives for posts until my camera gets back.

If I don't post before then, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. And *rah rah* to all you day after Thanksgiving shoppers! Go get 'em!

FREE 4x8 Photo Cards....

Hey Bloggy friends, I am not posting this on Facebook because I wanted all you Mom's out there to get first dibs at this incase the website got bombarded. One of my friends sent me a link and a code that gets you 50 FREE Photo cards for the holidays. She placed her order on Friday and didnt have to enter a credit card or anything. Now, I just placed my order and ended up having to pay $3.19 in shipping.....dont know what I did differently, but I figured it was better than payring $35-40 for the actual cards.

I dont know the quality of the cards, but I figured they were free (and from Fuji) and if I didnt like them, I really wasnt losing anything and could just reorder them somewhere else. You have to download thier installer. It comes from Fuji Film, so I decided to trust the site. You can pick your background, choose your photo from your computer and then add your text. You can resize each piece you add as well.

So here's the link. I hope you go check it out. Like I said, I really felt I had nothing to lose. By the way, this is only good if ordered by November 30th.

I feel like a bad infomercial, but I thought I would pass it on....

BSM - Time to Rest

Her eyes are tired, watery and pink. Her nose is constantly running and quite raw at this point and that phlegmy cough in her chest sounds like it hurts.

No matter how hard you try, it is inevitable. I make her wash her hands 50 times a day, use Purell constantly, and treat her cousins like they have the plague when they are sick (love you guys), and still end up sick.

How do you get a toddler to rest and relax? She still wants to bounce off the walls and act like all is good. Guess all is good in her world. On the flip side, I am glad she is not bogged down with a fever. Things could definitely be worse. Knock on wood....

BSM - Being Taken Over

This time of year, we are being taken over by Boxelder bugs and Ladybugs. Although the Boxelders are not our favorite, Ella has been collecting the Ladybugs in a jar and then releasing them at the end of the day. This little friend she found in our entry way and played with it for a good half hour before it decided to spread it wings and frighten her (she claimed). Needless to say, that was the end of their friendship.

On another note, I have a little story about being "taken over".

On Halloween night, Keith and Ella were walking around and they saw spotlights in the sky in the distance. Keith told Ella they were aliens. When they got to the last house, which happened to be our neighbors, she walked up to the door, threw both hands in front of her and in all seriousness exclaimed...

"I am not here for candy! I am here to tell you that there are aliens coming! Do you see those lights in the sky? Those are aliens!

The neighbors apparently looked at her like she was crazy. You'd think they would humor her....but that didn't happen. Later, she proceeded to tell my mom that she saw little green men take a man and his puppy away. Her imagination is endless.

BSM - Halloween 2009

My Butterfly Fairy Princess. Anything with wings....a princess dress and a wand is all she cares about right now. If we would have let her, she would have worn her princess shoes, with heels!
