The Next Thing You Know......

I signed Ella up for preschool a week or so ago. She will begin this Fall in September. It will be for 2 days a week, 2 1/5 hours a day through May. I joke that I am super excited about the time I will get to be by myself....That I will drive her to school in my jammies, open the door and kick her to the curb yelling as I skid up dust in the parking lot, "See you in 2 1/5 hours!"

But, by all means, I AM SUPER EXCITED about it, but I think for maybe a week or so that I might end up pacing the house for those 2 1/2 hours that she is gone. I am thrilled that she is going to preschool. She needs so much more stimulation in her ever expanding world than I am able to provide her. I am excited for all of the things she will learn and do. All of the new friends and experiences she will have. And for the variety that will happen in our schedule.

I am excited. But I am saddened by the quickness of the last 3 1/2 year. She already talks like she is 30 years old....makes decisions like a supreme court judge....and delegates her clean up duties like a drill sergeant (even if it is just to her stuffed animals). The next thing you know she will be moving out, getting married and having a little family of her own! Deciding on a preschool was a daunting task. I am trying to tell myself that the rest of her life is not planned out at this stage. I wish time would stand still....

Aww-Im looking forward to mine getting in preschool as well but then again Im not...I truly think she needs the interaction w/other kids her age but gosh-my heart is really going to miss her!
Good luck Moma! Remember you got all of us here to mingle with more now! ;)

Slow down mommy brain, there is no way she can grow up that quickly.
But it sure does feel like you might blink and miss some of it.

I feel ya, oh yes I do! The time does seem to fly by way too quickly, and starting school is another BIG step in that direction. I think I'll have a hard time with kindergarten...but now, after feeling like you the first couple months, we both really look forward to school days. You will too!

Time does go by too fast. Harper is going to start Kindergarten in the fall. I am majorly freaking out about that.

I am sure it will be tough at first, but you both will love it.

Those photos are absolutely gorgeous. What kind of doll is that?

She sounds like my oldest. Don't be sad when she runs off before you can even get a kiss and hug from her. It will be good for her and you.

Oh I feel your pain. Time goes by too fast. Beautiful photos.

Love these shots of the pretty doll - very nice!

I'm sure the daycare will be a wonderful experience for Ella. They need some structure before they get into Kindergarten, and need some outlet for their curious little minds. Our daycare has a pre-school program built in, so we have never had to look for one.

Sorry, I meant the PRESCHOOL will be good for her. Don't mind me...just tired. ;)

I am so with you when it comes to preschool. I have been procrastinating and procrastinating about signing W.W. up for preschool. He'll be 4 in June and I think I should really do it for this fall, but still haven't yet. I'm sure it will be good for her just like it will be good for mine too, somehow convincing the parent is more work than convincing the kid.
