Team-Up Thursday - Week 8

This week, Christina and I did HOME. What I find interesting about both our shots is that neither one of us took a picture from our actual homes. Also, the fact that we both chose to display trees.

Christina chose this fantastic view of a road that she takes to get home. If you visit her frequently, you know that she has taken pictures of this road before during the different seasons. Each time I see this scene, I wish it was a road that I could travel home to everyday! With that fantastic line of beautiful trees, each scene is perfection.

My photo for this week is the home of a family of Cardinal's that was left over from last year. We had such a great time watching those birds grow up and fly away. Since we have seen Daddy Cardinal flying around in the last couple of weeks, along with the wonderful group of Robin's we get each year under our deck, we are hoping that they will decide to make their home in this tree again.

Again, perfectly matched and looks as if your close up could have been from one of Christina's trees. Love your close up, processed beautifully. So amazing how a set of branches hold up so well to be some creatures home.

ditto melody on the processing of your photo -- just lovely. honestly, i would not have guessed "home" for these two, but they go together so well! great pair:).

I am with Christina. I love how you have been processing your shots lately. The story behind the nest makes your already beautiful shot even prettier.

Sigh...I'm sure you know of my slight obsession with birds, and your shot is pure heaven, J! Seriously - the color and the delicately and precariously perched sticks - I just love it. You should sell it! It would look lovely in my bathroom ;-)

And the fact that you both picked trees for *home* it just makes me smile!

I love your nest, what a wonderful take on home. I think the tree lined street and the birds nest go perfectly together to show a feeling and sense of home. Really nice!

Joanna, I love your shot. Both of you did an awesome job this week. The processing is out of this vintage-looking! I really love the look. Your composition of the nest is also perfect! Great job!

Both so beautiful., Both would be beautiful framed on a wall , or make a card out of them. Great sense of home and Spring time. Great job!

You really use your noggin and think outside the box don't you Joanna? Love that. :) And I so love the blue shades of the sky. I was going to call it Robin's egg blue, but just wouldn't seem right with it being a Cardinal nest and all. ;)

So awesome! Amazing that you two thought outside of the box in the same way! Awesome!

High five on another successful week, my friend! They go so great together. But just now I was playing around with giving mine a vintage-y treatment too, and I really like it better that way. :o) You will have to let us know what the birdy family takes up residence again!

I am just floored that you both chose trees. Both shots are fabulous. such wonderfully homey sights. :)

I love how you processed your shot - so pretty! Hopefully you can watch the family grow again this year. We have a robin that makes a nest in the tree next to our deck. She sits there and squacks at us while we out there in the spring and early summer. You would think she would learn from the prior year!
