Team Up Thursday - Week 13
Since last week, I chose the theme of down low, Christina chose this weeks theme of looking up. For some reason, I had a hard time with this one. Nothing tickled my fancy....in so many words. But after several days of good rain, we are now going into full bloom here in Minnesota. So the only thing to capture was the glorious sun shining down on the new flowers.
Christina chose trees this week too, yet the warm yellow glow of her shot while laying in a hammock gives the picture a completely serene feeling. I love how nothing is quite focused on except for the hammocks metal bar leading you UP into dreamland!
We both captured a little sunlight and a little bit of nature, but to me, there is quite a contrast between the two shots.
*I should note that my original picture orientation should be horizontal. I apparently had a hard time matching it with Christina's vertical shot. The original shot is pictured correctly on Christina's blog.

Jo, I don't know why you keep saying you don't like this week's shot...I love it! I actually think I like it even better flipped around like this, too! This sure does shot the difference between TX and MN tho - we had those blossoms 2 months ago and they are now long gone!
It's dreary here today so the warmness of Christina's shot and the beautiful flare in your shot warm me right up. Awesome work again this week.

Oh my gosh, are you kidding you shot is wonderful and makes an awesome diptych. I also like the two versions of it - this way and the original orientation on Christina's blog. They are so complimentary.

these shots together make for such a relaxing scene. i *so* wish i were in that hammock right about now :).
I love the flare Joanna, I am a bit of flare junkie myself. I like how the hues of color in both shots is similar and I want to be in that hammock.
These are both wonderful. the colors in each are so dreamy and work so well together. I long of summer days lazing around in a hammock!
There is a contrast but at the same time both shots really pull each other together, I think. Sunshine and trees and softness. Really nice job. :)
