Best Shot Monday

Christina over at Momology did a wonderful tutorial on Enhancing the Light of your photos in Photoshop. She also mentioned an action pack for Photoshop that she got from Pioneer Woman that included an ethereal and lovely action that gives your photos a wonderful angelic glow.

I had alot of fun playing with that action last night...Especially using it on my Ella's beautiful face. When I get a shot like this, I just cant take my eyes off of it. Its not the actual picture that I am in awe of though. It is the perfection of my little girls face that takes my breath away.

I bought a figurine while I was pregnant with Ella and it sits on a shelf in her room. I am always trying to find my inner peace, and having Ella in my life has helped me succeed in a part of that. On the back of the figurine is a poem. It reads:

I may never paint a masterpiece,
write a novel, sing on stage, or orchestrate world peace.
But when I look at you, I know that you are my masterpiece.
You are music from heaven. You are my peace.

Here is my best shot. My masterpiece.

Joanna~ I see your daughter every week and this picture just shines. Her eyes POP, the lighting is great.

Just WOW. The reads perfectly with the photo.

Joanna, I love it!!! It really is perfect. You need to frame it for sure.

I am so jealous that I can't use the Pioneer Woman actions. I downloaded the trial version of CS3and played around with the actions, but it was only a 30 day trial.

Joanna, this is breathtaking. It truly is a masterpiece - both Ella, and this image. WOW! I can't tell you enough how much I love it. I can barely take my eyes off her stunning eyes, but I think my very favorite part of this is the wispy hair.

Oh, and I'm glad you enjoyed the post and those actions. You really nailed it - light here is incredible!

I hope you frame this big...maybe even canvas. And if you ever decide to go pro (what happened with that possible shoot?) this image should be prominantly featured on your website.

Just gorgeous! I love the quote too -- I feel the same way about my kiddos!

I really need to learn how to do some of this stuff on photoshop -- I keep intending to, but never make the time for it :P

Breathtaking. Just breathtaking.
I'm with Carrie, I'm going to have to borrow that quote.

Her eyes are just captivating, I even had to show my husband. His words: "Wow. Wow. Absolutely beautiful."

Frame it.

simply beautiful.
